Sports & nature

Sports & natureFour hours’ canyoneering down the rapids of Matutinao River feels like an eternity: starting at Kanlaob River in the town of Alegria, Cebu and heading downstream, you’ll negotiate jungle trails, take long leaps down cliff faces into clear water and swim under rocky overhangs until you make your way to Kawasan Falls in Badian. You’ll need stamina and a quick mind to successfully negotiate swift running water through jungle and canyons. The Matutinao River’s depth varies from place to place — it’s shin deep in parts, and too deep to try without a flotation device in others. Safety equipment is an absolute necessity when canyoneering around these parts: the rocks are too slippery for bare feet, and the rapids can overwhelm even experienced swimmers if they’re not wearing a life vest. Aqua socks and other light and snug footwear are highly recommended.

Nightlife info

Nightlife info
Nightlife in Cebu Cebu's nightlife has slowly been catching up to Metro Manila's.  Usually, its on Friday and Saturday nights that Cebu's nightlife comes to life.  Areas such as
IT Park, Mango Avenue, and Crossroads will be jam packed during these nights as party goers and beer lovers scramble their way to get tables and seats on the otherwise limited venue space. Don't be surprise that during 9 pm on a Friday, restobars in IT Park will be full especially the likes of the popular ones such as Moon Cafe, Pier 1 and Jacobos.
The best area to experience the night life in Cebu. Since, this area is where most Call center agents are most people if not ALL people here speaks pretty decent English. Everyday there are people drinking, and partying, but not the same during weekends when the area is quite full, and very hard to get tables for you to hang out and chill.  Bars to take note here would be Moon Cafe, Pier 1 and Jacobos. Clubs in the area would be Loft and Penthouse, which are in the same building near the JP Morgan and Chase call center building. 3 min drive from I.T Park, 10 mins away from Mango Avenue. Crossroads is a good alternative when you want to experience some nightlife in Cebu. Aside from the most popular club in Cebu which is VuDU, it also houses Maya, a mexican inspired resto-bar, and Family KTV. Vudu caters more to the younger crowd though so if you are of "age" than i suggest going to Loft instead. However, Maya ain't half so bad, though you might cough up a little bit when you see the price.
